Florida Prison Crusade of 2012

Volunteer Testimonies:

“I think most of us go into the prisons with preconceived ideas of what we’re going to find there. I have to admit I did. But what I found there really caught me off guard and touched my heart in ways I can’t describe. There are so many people who are hungry for hope. All around they have seen broken promises and lies that have left them hurting, and they want something true. To look into the face of a broken person, to recognize that deep longing in their heart for something more, and to have the opportunity to share hope and Jesus with them is an incredible privilege and opportunity that has changed my life.”

“The Florida Prison Crusade filled me with awe at the amazing God we serve. I received encouragement and life from my brothers in prison. I saw His truth shattering the lies of Satan and His power transforming lives. Only our awesome God can do that!”

Inmate Testimonies:

“I thank God for all the wonderful volunteers who have visited us here at Gadsden. Their precious time, love, compassion, and sharing themselves with us this past weekend was amazing for me. I didn’t want anyone to leave.”

“You were here December 1st. People like you are very precious to the kingdom of God. Just as it says in Matthew 25:26, ‘Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.’ ”

“I never thought I would see the kind of love and compassion they showed me inside prison.”

A Word From A Director:

“The Florida Department of Corrections was very privileged to have the annual Gospel Express Crusade. This is one of the largest volunteer programs offered in the Department of Corrections. The positive influence which you showed toward the staff and inmates in these institutions will greatly benefit us and assist with the good order, management, security, and safety of the institutions, as well. We look forward to having you back next year.”
